From the local stages to the grandest theaters, he embarked on a path to carve his mark as an exceptional artist, leaving a lasting impact on his hometown and beyond, earning him prestigious accolades and awards, including The NAACP Theater Award, Joseph Jefferson Award,  the keys to two cities and the title of Honorary State Representative for the state of Indiana. He is also the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Columbia College, Chicago.
